On 1/5/20, the Honourable Prime Minister made a special Labour Day speech to the Nation. He announced the certain relaxation of movement on 4th May 2020 in certain sector of businesses. This relaxation is subject to certain SOP that needs to be adhered to.
With that directive from the Government, the Management decided that the Club needs to be operational again but with strict adherence to the guidelines given by the Government.
So, at 9.30 am on 2/5/20 all HOD was summoned to be briefed on the operational aspects in particular the opening and closing hours, the health and safety aspect, the need to maintain a minimum distance between dining tables and maximum diners allowed per table.
Certain sporting activities were also given the green light but the section need to formulate their respective SOP in line with the requirements, before they are allowed to activate. The Operations Manager, Mr Vijay chaired the meeting ably supported by the President, Mr Gordon Yong. Also, on hand was the VP, En. Mohidin Hashim and the F&B Chair, Ms. Jeyanthi. Although some leeway has been given by the Government, the danger still lurks. As a responsible citizen and members of the Club, it is also our duty to adhere to the guidelines provided to ensure everyone is safe from the virus.
