RSUC Cricket Section entertained the KL Netters early Sunday morning (17/11/2019) at RSUC Net. The KL Netters were led by Captain Suresh Saka and his gang of diehard netters. It started as a week end ritual at the Kilat Club but it grew in momentum as a form of exercise. A format was introduced to record the scores and points were awarded adjudicated by the appointed umpire.
At the end of the day, the KL netters were adjudged the winner. Their weekly nets session clearly showed their craft in directing the balls for maximum points.
After the game, we all adjourned to Amah Mah Restaurant to savour some Indian delicacies such as putu mayam, putu bambu with chicken curry. Our own cricket veteran Mr. Guru had a pleasant surprise when out of the kitchen, somebody brought a birthday cake. The KL Netters comprises of some old students of KGV who were students of Mr. Guru who remembered his birth date. This is one way of them showing their appreciation to their former teacher who had taught them academically as well as the game of Cricket. Happy Birthday Mr. Guru. There is still a lot of cricket to be played!! And stay healthy always.
